The CDC maintains and has continued to update the list of certain medical conditions that have been identified as increasing the risk of severe COVID-19. Risk is also higher for persons with certain medical conditions and risk for adults also increases with age. We should all take precautions to limit the spread in order to protect ourselves and those most vulnerable to complications. The CDC warns that the risk of developing severe illness or complications from COVID-19 is higher for persons who are not vaccinated against COVID-19.
